Wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu re-signed with the San Diego Chargers.
Ajirotutu has had two previous stints with the Chargers, who had a need for another veteran receiver with Danario Alexander placed on injured waivers Friday due to a season-ending knee injury. Malcom Floyd is also sidelined until at least the start of the regular season with a knee injury.
Ajirotutu was an undrafted rookie free agent in 2010. He caught four passes for 111 yards with two touchdowns for the Chargers during a Week 9 win over the Houston Texans, but had just four more catches the rest of the season.
He played 14 games for the Carolina Panthers in 2011 with just one catch.
Ajirotutu re-signed with the Chargers in 2012, but a hand injury kept him on injured reserve.
