A week ago, defensive end Kamerion Wimbley's status with Tennessee was in doubt.

Now, he's safe. The Titans reached an extension agreement with Wimbley, which will keep him in a Titans uniform for the 2014 season, accoridng to a report from The Tennesseean.

Wimbley was reportedly asked to take a pay cut, which can often times cause problems. In this instance, Wimbley and the Titans were able to make it work.

Wimbley was originally signed to a five-year, $35 million contract before the 2012 season.

A productive player in past seasons (six sacks for the Titans in 2012), Wimbley finished his 2013 campaign with a career-low 11 total tackles and three sacks on defense. He only started one game of the 16 he appeared in.
