Minnesota Wild forward Mikael Granlund was placed on injured reserve Thursday and expected to miss a week with an upper-body injury.
Granlund was injured early in a 3-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday night when he was hit high by Phoenix defenseman Connor Murphy on a check. Granlund has just returned after missing two games with a lower-body injury.
In 24 games this season, the 21-year-old Granlund has two goals and 10 assists.
To replace Granlund, the Wild recalled forward Jason Zucker from Iowa of the American Hockey League. In 13 games with the Wild, the 21-year-old Zucker has six goals and four assists.
