Western Michigan rolls past Prairie View A&M 92-53

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- David Brown scored 15 points and Jared Klein added 14 to help Western Michigan cruise past Prairie View A&M 92-53 Saturday.

Western Michigan (6-5) broke away early as Brown fueled a 19-2 run to open the game with a pair of 3-pointers, moving out to a 40-24 advantage at the break. They led by as many as 42 points in the second half, coasting to a shooting percentage of 56.9.

The Broncos had five players score in double figures, with Charles Harris getting 12 and Connar Tava and A.J. Avery each contributing 10. Taylor Perry had four points and nine rebounds.

Prairie View A&M (2-9) took the lead on the opening possession with a Demondre Chapman layup, but went on a scoring drought until the 11:58 mark in the first half. Chapman led the Panthers with 23 points on 8-of-17 shooting and seven boards.
