The Golden State Warriors exercised a third-year team option Thursday on guard Klay Thompson.
Thompson will make $2.3 million next season, csnbayarea.com reported.
The former first-round pick started 29 games last season and averaged 18.1 points and 3.0 assists as a shooting guard while playing in each of the Warriors' 66 games.
Under terms of Thompson's contract, the first two years were guaranteed with a team option for the third and fourth years.
The deadline to act on Thompson's contract option was Oct. 31.
