Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning's record-tying 50th touchdown pass went to Eric Decker, but it only counted after a review.
The play was reviewed because it did appear Decker was juggling the ball along the right corner of the end zone before falling out of bounds.
After review, the play stood as called. But Texans interim coach Wade Phillips asked the NFL for clarification on the play, which later had the league admit its officials were wrong.
According to Phillips, relayed to local reporters, the NFL said the play should have been ruled incomplete.
All that said, that particular play wouldn't have determined the outcome. And the record books won't change. That play to Decker will stil go down as Manning's 50th touchdown pass this season, with his 51st going to Julius Thomas late in the fourth quarter of the same game.
