Eagles quarterback Michael Vick left Sunday's game with a concussion and will not return. Vick threw a first-quarter touchdown pass to Riley Cooper to give Philadelphia a 7-0 lead on its opening drive.
But he was knocked out of the game on a hit by Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff. He also suffered an eye injury on the play, according to the Eagles' press box announcement.
Vick was under heavy criticism for the Eagles' 3-5 start, including four straight losses, because of negative plays -- 14 turnovers and 27 quarterback sacks. Some fans have been pulling for rookie quarterback Nick Foles to replace Vick based largely on Foles' preseason performance.
He completed 63.5 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and two interceptions -- compiling a 110.1 rating -- while Vick battled injuries and was limited to nine total pass attempts in four preseason games.
