Veterans Abraham, Wilson schedule visit with Patriots

Defensive end John Abraham and strong safety Adrian Wilson are scheduled to visit the New England Patriots on Friday.

NFL Network first reported the high-profile veteran free agents would be in Foxborough.

Abraham, 34, is the active leader in sacks with 122 with the Falcons and New York Jets. He played outside linebacker in the Jets' 3-4 defense and right defensive end in the 4-3 for the Falcons, implying he could be the ideal target by coach Bill Belichick, who wants versatile players for his "multiple" hybrid defense.

Wilson, 33, was released after 12 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He was a starter in 2012 but didn't play in most passing situations. He's a possible fit as an outside linebacker or strong safety.
