LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Joe Hill rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns and Chuckie Keeton completed 22 of 26 passes for 304 yards and two scores as Utah State rolled to a 34-3 season-opening victory over Southern Utah on Thursday night.

Utah State built a 21-0 first-quarter lead as Keeton threw scoring passes to Chuck Jacobs of 48 yards and Matt Austin for 35 yards. Hill reached the end zone from 27 yards out to make it 21-0 and the Aggies were not challenged after that.

Utah State's defense pressured Southern Utah quarterback Brad Sorensen most of the night. He completed just 12 of 31 passes for 153 yards and an interception, and was sacked twice.
