USC WR Woods considering jump to NFL

Southern Cal wide receiver Robert Woods told the L.A. Times that he has submitted his paperwork to the NFL Advisory Committee and is waiting for his evaluation.

The 6-1 junior from Carson, Calif. Had 73 receptions for 1,292 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Trojans in 2012.

Woods has previously said he would seriously consider entering the 2013 NFL Draft if he was projected as a first-round pick. NFLDraftScout.com currently has Woods rated as the No. 6 wide receiver eligible to enter April's draft and No. 49 overall as a solid second-round prospect.

A highly-recruited prep, Woods earned Pac-10 Freshman of the Year honors in 2010 by starting all 13 games and leading the Trojans with 792 receiving yards. He was a Biletnikof finalist in 2011, catching 112 passes for, 1292 yards and 15 touchdowns despite playing through an ankle injury.

Cal junior Keenan Allen already announced he will forgo his senior season and is NFLDraftScout.com's top-rated wide receiver, followed by seniors Terrance Williams (Baylor) and Tavon Austin (West Virginia).
