Beer leagues are one of the most charming aspects of hockey fandom, where players of rusty skills and limited abilities – or the occasional ex-NHL player looking to stroke his ego – come together for spirited competition before competing to see who could ingest the most spirits.
But the equipment costs! Even the lousiest bender has to ante up for skates and sticks. Which is why one brewery – whose product has no doubt been consumed in many a Northeast beer league – is here to help.
Narragansett Beer, Rhode Island’s own, has teamed up with Zeal to create “the first and only hockey stick specifically designed for beer leagues!”
Who says America doesn’t make great products any more?!
It’s lightweight with a one-piece composite construction. It has reinforced carbon strips, increasing durability without adding weight, with a four-chamber blade structure that prevents chips.
Oh, and of course a sweet Narragansett Beer graphic.
Pick your curve and your flex here. The whole thing costs you $149.99.
Hopefully this encourages other breweries to get into the hockey gear business. Not just for what Southern Tier Pumking gloves might look like, but with Bauer going under, someone has to make this stuff…
