UFC 199 Results: Dan Henderson Knocks Out Hector Lombard in Round 2

Dan Henderson picked up an emphatic win at UFC 199, knocking out Hector Lombard in their main-card fight on Saturday night's pay-per-view in Inglewood, California.

Henderson floored Lombard with elbows to finish the fight in Round 2 at the 1:27.

Henderson looked to load up his right hand early. He landed it, but then was almost immediately hit with a shot by Lombard and was wobbled. The fight went to the ground and Lombard tried a straight armbar. Once they got back to the feet, the two traded flurries again and Henderson ate a left hand that dropped him. He covered, however, and the pair made it out of a heated first round.

The second round showed both fighters being more calculated, looking for the right opportunities to strike. Henderson then threw a head kick that landed, but Lombard caught it. As he was hopping on one leg, Henderson threw a back elbow that floored his opponent. With Lombard on the ground, Henderson landed two more elbows and finished off the contest.

With the win, the 45-year-old Henderson gets back on the winning track in what could be the last fight in his storied career.

“That could have been the last [fight] of my career,” the fighter said in his post-fight interview.

Henderson improves his record to 32-14 with the victory at UFC 199.
