UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier may not have delivered the blockbuster attendance that promotion officials would have liked on Saturday night, but there were some standout performances that netted four fighters the usual $50,000 post-fight bonuses.
It was a battle from the opening bell with Jones and Cormier locked in a back and forth battle for the first three rounds, while Jones started to takeover in the final two rounds as Cormier faded a bit.
The fight may not have lived up the expectation that it would be the greatest “UFC fight ever,” but it was good enough for the bonus.
The two Performance of the Night bonuses went to two of the only three victors to score finishes in their fights.
Paul Felder knocked out Danny Castillo in the preliminary bout headliner on the FOX Sports 1 broadcast, while Shawn Jordan also scored a knockout in his victory over Jared Cannonier in one of the other televised prelims.
