UFC 162 Silva vs. Weidman Weigh-in Results: All Fighters Hit the Mark

The 22 fighters competing on the UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman fight card stepped on the scales at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Friday to weigh-in.

The main event features UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva putting his belt on the line against undefeated challenger Chris Weidman.

Weidman stepped on the scale hitting the 185-pound limit for a middleweight championship fight dead on. Silva, setting his belt aside for the moment, tipped the scale at 184 pounds.

“He’s the man, but this is my time to shine,” said Weidman after weighing in. “Tomorrow night, history is being made. Love it or hate it, underdog is on top.”

Silva – although up in Weidman’s face and not backing down when they faced off – was much less boisterous in his comments.

“All the fighters that fight in the UFC is the best. This is the best event in the world. All the fighters that fight tomorrow is the best in the world, not me,” said the man widely regarded as the top fighter on the planet. “Chris has the chance for the belt tomorrow. I go to fight for my defense, that’s it.”

In the night’s co-main event, former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar fights in his first non-title fight in more than three years when he steps in the Octagon with Charles Oliveira.

Oliveira weighed in at 144, while Edgar had to drop his fight shorts to make the 146-pound allowance for their featherweight fight. Both looked ready to go as they went nose-to-nose in their pose for photographers after stepping off the scale.

UFC 162 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday.
