Twitch has announced the appointment of Michael Aragon as SVP of content, reporting directly to CEO Emmett Shear.
Aragon will lead Twitch’s global broadcaster partnerships, esports, Twitch Studios, content development, and content marketing teams. He was previously GM at Ellation, the parent company of Crunchyroll and recently-launched VRV. Prior to that he was a vice president and general manager at PlayStation Network, overseeing digital video, music, and original content services.
In January this year, Twitch announced the hire of Matt McCloskey in the newly created role of VP of commerce. McCloskey oversees growing economic opportunities for streamers, with a focus on the Cheering and Bits program. He is also responsible for overseeing engagement opportunities for game developers streaming on Twitch.
