Twins' Swarzak goes on disabled list

Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Anthony Swarzak was placed on the disabled list on Thursday with a mild right rotator cuff strain.
Swarzak allowed two runs on two hits in one inning on Tuesday against the White Sox. For the season, he is 2-4 with a 4.43 ERA in 31 games, including four starts His ERA in relief appearances is 3.02.
The Twins purchased the contract of right-hander Luis Perdomo from Triple-A Rochester to take Swarzak's spot on the active roster. The Twins also ttransferred right-hander Carl Pavano to the 60-day disabled list. Pavano had been on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right shoulder since June 4.
