With less than two weeks until fight time, the UFC has called on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes alum Ben Wall to help keep a fight on the upcoming UFC Fight Night 33 card in Brisbane, Australia.

Sources informed MMAWeekly.com on Monday that Wall has agreed to step in for Andreas Stahl to fight Alex Garcia at the Dec. 7 event, which airs on Dec. 6 in the United States. It was unclear at the time of publication as to why Stahl withdrew from the bout.

A member of Team Australia during The Smashes, this will be Wall’s first official fight for the UFC. He lost a decision to eventual finalist Colin Fletcher in the opening round of the show, and did not fight at the show’s finale.

Wall has fought just once since TUF aired, a unanimous decision victory in the main event of a smaller event in Queensland, Australia. His official professional record is 7-0-1.

Garcia is currently 10-1, riding a four-fight victorious streak. The UFC Fight Night 33 bout with Wall will be his first under the UFC banner.

UFC Fight Night 33 is headlined by a heavyweight match-up between Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
