Titans take Zach Mettenberger

Zach Mettenbeger's name was finally called in the sixth round of the NFL draft.

The Tennessee Titans took Mettenberger with the 178th overall pick. The LSU quarterback worked out with the Titans recently.

Mettenberger enters an interesting situation, with Jake Locker entering a contract year. If it's determined that Locker isn't the answer in Tennessee, Mettenberger could earn a chance to be the Titan's quarterback in 2015.

Mettenberger was the third SEC quarterback taken in the draft. Aaron Murray (Chiefs) and A.J. McCarron (Bengals) were selected in the fifth round.
