Guard Malcolm Lee, who has started 12 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves this season, will be out indefinitely with a knee injury sustained on Wednesday, the team announced on Friday.
Lee has what is called a chrondal injury in his right knee, which involves the ligaments that cover each end of the bone in the knee.
The injury is being further evaluated to determine the next course of action. At that point, his status will be updated.
Lee is averaging 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game this season. He started 12 of the last 13 games for Minnesota.
