Tigers' Cabrera leaves game with hip injury
Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera left Monday night's game because of a sore left hip flexor, multiple media outlets reported.
Cabrera will be re-evaluated Tuesday and is listed as day-to-day.
Cabrera appeared to suffer the injury after he scored on a Victor Martinez single in the top of the fifth inning.
He returned the field in the bottom of the inning, but walked off the field gingerly after failing to make a play at third base on a grounder hit by Adam Dunn.
Cabrera, the 2012 American League MVP, currently leads the league in batting average (.358) and RBIs (96) and is second in homers (31).
