Throwing Darts: Will Denver throw a bagel to Brock?

We’ve thrown darts for six years and giving you a winning season in five of those years. Let’s see how it goes this time along.

As always, we’ll be using the line from Yahoo Football Pick’Em. We won’t use games if they move off the board. Share your picks in the comments, play along. Five weekly picks, that’s all we ask.

Denver -7 vs. Houston: How many points can you see Brock Osweiler producing in this game? How is anyone going to get open? How rabid will the crowd be? I don’t really like Denver’s offense either, but the ground game is good enough — keep Booking, Booker — and the Broncos defense can win this game.

Pittsburgh + 7 vs. New England: Ben Roethlisberger is a huge loss, but line seems to have overcompensated. Landry Jones isn’t deep enough into his career for us to definitively say he’s capable of torpedoing this offense; look at the skill players again. And I’m not sold on New England’s defense.

San Francisco +2 vs. Tampa Bay: Just a go-ugly pick, hold your nose, don’t watch it. Tampa Bay is a young team that’s prone to mistakes, especially on the road and in a game where it might think it can merely show up and win.

San Diego +6.5 at Atlanta: Chargers have a horrible game-theory coach, but it’s been a pretty darn good team for 55 minutes. Atlanta might be due for a letdown in this spot after two empty-the-tank road games at Denver and Seattle.

Baltimore E at New York Jets: I get the better coach, better defense and better quarterback, all at a pick em? Where do I sign?
