Young finished 14-20 from the field (1-3 on 3-point attempts) in what was an efficient performance. Other top contributors for Philadelphia included Evan Turner with 23 points and 7 rebounds, and Michael Carter-Williams with 16 points and 9 rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge had another quality performance for Portland in the loss, putting up 29 points on 13-30 shooting. He also registered 14 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists. Robin Lopez contributed 14 points and 15 rebounds.
The Trail Blazers posted an eFG% of just 37.9%, including 13.6% from 3-point range. This year, they are 2-1 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the 76ers are undefeated (2-0) when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
This drops Portland (26-8) to 1-1 versus Philadelphia on the season.
