Texas Tech WR T.J. Vasher makes awesome one-handed catch (Video)

Texas Tech wideout T.J. Vasher made a ridiculous catch in the third quarter against Texas.

The Red Raiders, trailing 20-10, opened the second half with the ball. TTU quarterback McLane Carter, making his first career start, threw two interceptions in the second quarter, but Vasher was there to make a play for McLane on one of his first throws of the third.

McLane lobbed one downfield to Vasher, who was facing single coverage. He adjusted to the ball really well even with the Texas DB right on him and made an awesome one-handed catch.

Here’s a closer look. Vasher — who we’ve seen make highlight reel catches before — really had to use every inch of his lengthy wingspan to make that play as he fell backward to the turf.

From this angle, it really shows that Texas’ Davante Davis seemed to be in good position to make a play as Carter under-threw the pass. But Davis couldn’t track the ball through the air like Vasher did.

Texas Tech finished off the drive with a field goal, cutting the Texas lead to 20-13.
