After this weekend, he make a visit to Arizona State. Robinson said that if he were to gauge how hard each program was recruiting him right now, he’d put them both at ‘eight-out-of-ten.’
“I’m just looking forward to getting on campus, finding out what programs they have and getting familiar with the coaches,” he said. “SMU is one of my favorites, they’re in my top-three right now.”
Prior to his appearance in last the Rivals Three Stripe Camp presented by Adidas, Robinson was in Frisco for Tech’s spring football game.
IN HIS WORDS
On what he took from Tech’s spring game
“It was good,” he said. “Tech’s offense is basically the spread and that’s what I like to see. The offense is moving in a good direction, the way they were moving the ball out there was crazy.”
On what he looks forward to on trips to Texas Tech
“I really look forward to hanging out with the coaches,” he said. “And Keke Coutee - Number 20 - he’s my best friend on the team.”
Robinson’s plans to take visits may be unsettling news to Tech fans, but he was quick to mention that he’s been on campus in Lubbock at least six times since his commitment. If SMU is in a top-tree and perhaps it can be assumed Arizona State is as well, he’s still clear as to who is in the front of the line.
“I’m open, I’m here to listen,” he said. “Tech is still my number-one right now and I’m committed.”
Robinson also said that he has no immediate plans to make any sort confirmation about his current commitment or otherwise, but he did mention that he was interested in taking official visits this fall.
