COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) -- J-Mychal Reese returned to the lineup following a suspension in the Texas A&M's 79-62 victory over Sam Houston State Sunday.

Reese made his season debut after serving a four-game suspension for an unspecified violation of a team rule during preseason camp. Reese, one of A&M coach Billy Kennedy's most high-profile signings, shook the rust by finishing with five points and four rebounds off the bench. Antwan Space led the Aggies (5-0) with 12 points and Fabyon Harris added 10.

A&M led 6-5 five minutes into the game, but surged on a 12-4 run and was never threatened the remainder of the contest. The Aggies are 5-0 for the first time since 2007-08. Kaheem Ransom scored a game-high 13 points, but was only 4 of 14 from the field, in leading SHSU (4-1).

A&M held a 41-29 rebounding advantage over the smaller Bearkats, and outscored SHSU 40-30 in the paint.
