Texans' Harris fined $21,000

Houston Texans defensive back Brandon Harris was fined $21,000 for unnecessary roughness for hitting a defenseless player in the head during a preseason game against the Miami Dolphins, NFL.com reported.
That was one of several fines handed out this week by the NFL, according to the NFL.com report. That includes the $10,000 fine levied against Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III for having the words "Operation Patience" on a pregame warmup shirt.
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Micah Pellerin was fined $15,750 for unnecessary roughness during last Friday's game against the Oakland Raiders.
New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross was fined $7,785 for grabbing the facemask of Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne.
Chicago Bears rookie linebacker Jon Bostic was fined $21,000 because he lowered his head against a defenseless player, and Denver Broncos wide receiver Andre Caldwell was hit with a $7,875 fine for grabbing a facemask while covering on a punt return against the Seattle Seahawks.
