Tennessee suspends All-SEC receiver Rogers

Tennessee suspended All-Southeastern Conference wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers indefinitely, the school announced Thursday.

Rogers led the SEC with 67 receptions last season and was second in the conference with 1,040 receiving yards. Tennessee did not disclose what led to the suspension and said any determination on his availability this season was yet to be decided.

The Volunteers have a talented group of wide receivers, including junior Justin Harper and junior college transfer Cordarelle Patterson.

Rogers, 6-3, 206, had six 100-yard receiving games last season and two games with 10 receptions. NFLDraftScout.com rates Harper as the No. 13 overall prospect potentially available for the 2013 draft and second among wide receivers.

Rogers, also a junior, is ranked seventh among wide receivers and No. 70 overall.
