Ted Cruz wins Twitter feud with hysterical Grayson Allen joke tweet

For a long time, the internet has been aware of (and created memes about) Ted Cruz’s uncanny resemblance to Duke star Grayson Allen. And on Tuesday, Cruz finally joined in.

A long-form Politico story about the “New Ted Cruz”, mentions that the politician has started a “weekly basketball game in the Russell Building” that Politico reported Cruz has started to repair and build personal relationships with Republican senators.

Deadspin wasted no time in asking for photo proof of this pick up game.

The Texas senator responded to the tweet by sharing this photo:

Funny right? Well, apparently Deadspin didn’t think so.

At least Cruz finally admits that he and Allen are the same person or at least long lost cousins (probably).
