Tebow tops Forbes' most influential survey

Quarterback Tim Tebow may not have an NFL job, but is the most influential athlete in sports in 2013, according to a Forbes.com survey.
Forbes used Nielsen and E-Poll to determine which athletes influence fans the most in the U.S., and reported that 29 percent of respondents found Tebow to be "influential." Forbes.com didn't release the number of participants, but told ESPN.com that more than 1,000 participated.
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps finished second with 25 percent of respondents finding him influential. Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt (23 percent), New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter (22 percent) and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (21 percent) rounded out the top five.
