Carlos Boozer finished with 15 points and notched 10 rebounds, his 16th double-double of the season, to lead the Chicago Bulls to a victory over the Brooklyn Nets, 92-76. Chicago (27-25) has now won three straight.
Boozer went 7-13 from the field. Other top performers for Chicago were Taj Gibson with 16 points and 5 rebounds, and Joakim Noah with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Despite the loss, Paul Pierce scored 15 points for Brooklyn on 4-11 shooting (2-5 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 5-7 from the free throw line.
In addition to 29.4% from 3-point range, the Nets tallied an eFG% of just 42.5%. They are 2-9 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Bulls, conversely, are 11-3 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
This drops Brooklyn (24-27) to 0-2 against Chicago on the year.
Coming up, the Bulls battle the Toronto Raptors, who are 28-24 on the season. The Nets match up with the Utah Jazz, currently sitting at 19-33 this year. The Bulls came up short against Toronto each of the last two times they've met. The Nets have a 1-0 record against Utah this season.
