The 26-year-old agreed on a move to Liberty Stadium back in April, and everything is now in place for him to join up with fellow Spaniards Angel Rangel, Chico Flores, Pablo Hernandez and Michu in South Wales.
Canas was a firm favorite at the Estadio Benito Villamarin after coming through the youth ranks, and he played a key role in helping Pepe Mel’s side to a seventh-placed finish and Europa League qualification last season.
The midfielder came close to joining the Swans in the January window, and he is expected to sign a long-term deal when the move is completed next month.
