Brad Casper has resigned as the Phoenix Suns president after just nine months, the team announced Thursday.
Chief Operating Officer Jason Rowley will take over the role of president and oversee the Suns' business operations.
"I enjoyed my time with the Suns," Casper said in a statement issued by the Suns. "It was a wonderful opportunity for me, but ultimately serving the Suns while continuing to juggle a portfolio of other business interests became too much. I'm grateful to have worked with so many gifted professionals and I look forward to cheering on the team next season."
Rick Welts had been the Suns president for nine years before resigning in September and accepting the same position with the Golden State Warriors.
Rowley had been the interim team president before Casper was named president. When Casper was hired, Rowley was named chief operating officer.
