Steve Blake: (Abdomen) Out Six-To-Eight Weeks Staff

Update: Blake will undergo laparoscopic surgery to repair a torn abdominal muscle and miss a minimum of six-to-eight weeks, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Recommendation: The rehab from surgery will likely keep Blake out until mid- to late-January. It's somewhat of a devastating injury for a Lakers team that has already endured a few setbacks in Steve Nash's recovery from a leg injury. With Blake out for the better part of two months and Nash (leg) not expected to return for at least two weeks, Darius Morris and Chris Duhon get some added job security.
