NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) -- Deshaunt Walker scored 22 points as Stephen F. Austin remained unbeaten in conference play by staking out a 74-58 win over Northwestern State Thursday night.
The Lumberjacks (16-2, 5-0 Southland ) closed the first half on a 7-0 run after Northwestern State knotted the game on DeQuan Hicks' jumper with 2:22 left. Stephen F. Austin went into intermission with a 35-28 advantage and opened the second half with a 7-1 run to go up 42-29.
Walker, who scored 24 points against Texas November 11, was 7 of 13 from the field and 5 of 9 from 3-point range. Desmond Haymon and Thomas Walkup added and 16 and 13 points, respectively, and Jacob Parker added 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Brison White had 14 points to lead the Demons (5-11, 1-4), who got 13 points from Jalan West, 12 from Hicks and 11 from Zikiteran Woodley.
