Steelers release DL Ta'amu, sign WR Gilreath

Defensive lineman Alameda Ta'amu was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ta'amu, a fourth-round pick out of the University of Washington in April, was charged with drunken driving and attempting to elude police during a car chase Oct. 14.The incident resulted in five felony charges, including aggravated assault, and 10 total charges against Ta'amu.
He was reinstated last month after serving a two-game suspension.
Wide receiver David Gilreath was signed by the Steelers off their practice squad, where he spent the first nine weeks of the season. Antonio Brown was ruled out of Monday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
