Spurs 93, Grizzlies 86

MEMPHIS -- Tim Duncan will get a chance to win one for the thumb.

The San Antonio Spurs star, already with four championship rings, is headed back to the NBA Finals.

Tony Parker scored 37 points Monday, his highest total of the year, regular season and postseason, and the Spurs completed a sweep of the Memphis Grizzlies with a 93-86 win.

The Spurs won the middle two games of the Western Conference finals in overtime before putting away the Grizzles at FedExForum.

San Antonio is in the Finals for the first time since 2007. The Spurs opponent will be either the Miami Heat or the Indiana Pacers. Miami leads the Eastern Conference finals two games to one.

"This is a special run for me," the 37-year-old veteran said before Monday's game. "I really want to get this one done. I want to get back to the Finals. I want to win another championship. It's been a long time."

Duncan scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Kawhi Leonard added 11 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Quincy Pondexter led the Grizzlies with 22 points. Marc Gasol added 14 points, five rebounds and five assists, and Zach Randolph had 13 points and eight boards.

Gasol hit a short shot with 48 seconds left to cut Memphis' deficit to 89-86.

Parker drove the lane at the other end and was fouled on his layup attempt. He hit both foul shots with 29 seconds remaining, pushing San Antonio's edge to 91-86. Parker iced the game with two more free throws after Splitter blocked a Jerryd Bayless jump shot.

Allen stole the ball, missed a layup, got the rebound and hit his second layup attempt with 9:37 left in the game, drawing Memphis within 76-73.

However, Parker responded with a 3-pointer to give San Antonio some breathing room.

After trailing by as many as 12 points in the third quarter, Memphis climbed within three after a 7-0 surge in the final two minutes of the period. Leonard's 3-pointer with 52 seconds remaining gave San Antonio a 72-66 lead heading to the fourth. Parker scored 14 points in the third.

The Spurs went on an 8-0 run midway through the first quarter and took a 24-14 lead after one period.

The Grizzlies sliced into the lead late in the second quarter thanks to two Bayless 3-pointers in the final 39 seconds. A 7-2 spurt in the closing second pulled Memphis within 44-38 at halftime.

Parker hit six of nine first-half shots for 12 points, while Duncan and Tiago Splitter each had seven first-half points.
