University of Nevada-Las Vegas freshman guard Rashad Vaughn has plans to enter the 2015 NBA draft, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

A formal announcement is expected in the near future, sources said.

The 6-foot-6 Vaughn has a chance to ascend into a first-round draft choice with a good pre-draft process, but most teams see him currently as a second-round pick.

Draftexpress.com has Vaughn 48th overall in its 2015 pre-draft rankings.

UNLV sophomore forward Christian Wood is seriously considering entering the draft, too, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Vaughn missed 10 games this season because of a knee injury and averaged 17.8 points on 44 percent shooting for the Runnin’ Rebels.

A native of Minneapolis, Vaughn was selected as a McDonald’s All-American out of Findlay Prep in Las Vegas.
