After tearing two ligaments in his right ankle, Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari is expected to miss a month, league sources told The Vertical.
Gallinari suffered two torn lateral ligaments and a medial ligament sprain, the Nuggets said, in a Friday loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Gallinari, 27, missed the 2013-14 season with surgery for a torn ACL. In his first full season back, Gallinari has delivered his best season as a pro, averaging 19.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Gallinari signed a two-year, $34 million contract extension in the summer.
The Nuggets are 23-37.
