Free-agent guard Leandro Barbosa has agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract to return to the Phoenix Suns, league sources told The Vertical.

The deal includes a team option on the second year, sources said.

Barbosa, 33, played the past two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, but had his best seasons in the NBA from 2003-10 as a member of the Seven Seconds or Less Suns. He also spent the 2013-14 season with Phoenix

Barbosa was the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 2007 with the Suns.

For Phoenix, Barbosa gives the backcourt behind Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe some additional depth.

In 13 seasons, which also included stints with Toronto, Indiana and Boston, Barbosa averaged 11 points and 2.2 assists.
