Four players scored in double figures as the Chicago Sky took charge early and never trailed on the way to an 83-70 WNBA victory over the Connecticut Sun on Friday.
Chicago (10-4) scored 12 unanswered points to open the game and led 28-15 lead by quarter's end at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
The Sky then led 50-35 at halftime and 64-53 after three quarters. The 11-point deficit entering the fourth quarter was the closest the Sun (3-10) would get the rest of the way.
Elena Delle Donne scored a team-high 23 points, and Swin Cash had 19 for Chicago, while Sylvia Fowles and Epiphanny Prince had 14 and 11 points, respectively.
The victory was Chicago's third straight and sixth in seven games. The Sky are now just one game behind first-place Atlanta in the WNBA Eastern Conference standings.
Tina Charles was the only Sun player in double figures, collecting a game-high 29 points.
Connecticut closed the game with an 11-2 run over the final 3:23, but the outcome was not in doubt.
Chicago previously beat Connecticut 86-75 in a season opener on May 27 at Allstate Arena. The Sun still lead the overall series 18-11.
The Sun host San Antonio on Sunday while the Sky are idle until next Thursday when they play at New York.
Chicago and Connecticut meet again on Aug. 9 at Mohegan Sun Arena.
