Seminoles No. 3 in major polls

Florida State moved up to No. 3 in both major polls, which were released Sunday, a day after blowing out host Clemson 55-14.
Alabama and Oregon retained the top two spots in the top 25 Associated Press media and USA Today coaches polls.
In the AP poll, the No. 1 Crimson Tide (7-0) received 55 first-place votes. The No. 2 Ducks (7-0) picked up three votes and the Seminoles (6-0) got the remaining two.
In the coaches poll, Alabama garnered 57 first-place votes, Oregon four votes and Florida State one.
Ohio State (7-0) is No. 4 in both major polls. Missouri (7-0) moved up to No. 5 in the AP poll while Baylor (6-0) occupies the fifth spot in the coaches poll.
Clemson (6-1) tumbled to No. 9 in the AP poll and No. 10 in the coaches poll.
Auburn (6-1) made the biggest jump in the AP poll from 24th to No. 11 after its 45-41 victory over Texas A&M, which fell from seventh to No. 14. Louisville (6-1) fell the hardest from eighth to No. 18 after losing to Central Florida. Georgia (No. 15 last week), Washington (No. 20) and Florida (No. 22) fell out of the top 25 and were replaced by No. 21 Central Florida, No. 24 Michigan and No. 25 Nebraska.
In the coaches poll, Baylor and Missouri each moved up seven spots. South Carolina (5-2) fell from ninth to No. 20 after losing to Tennessee and Louisville sixth to No. 16. Georgia (No. 16 last week), Florida (No. 22) and Washington (No. 25) dropped out and were replaced by No. 17 Auburn, No. 24 Wisconsin and No. 25 Central Florida.
