Anaheim Ducks right wing Teemu Selanne was scheduled to return to action in Wednesday's game against Phoenix after missing three games with a mouth injury.
He lost four teeth and needed stitches to close cuts around his mouth after being hit in the face with a stick during a game in Philadelphia on Oct. 29.
Selanne, 43, has three goals and four assists in 11 games this season.
"It looks like Teemu is ready to play," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said on the team's website. "The old guy heals quickly. What can I say? It's just another reason why he's been in the game so long and why he's done so well. He wants to come back and play. It looked really bad when it happened, but the stitches are out and he's looking fine right now."
