The Seattle Seahawks re-signed wide receiver Deon Butler on Saturday to fill a roster spot left when wide receiver Charly Martin was placed on injured reserve.
Butler passed a physical and is eligible to be activated in time for Sunday's game against Buffalo in Toronto.
After three seasons with the Seahawks, Butler was cut at the end of training camp this year. In 2011, he was limited to five games for Seattle while recovering from a broken leg during the 2010 season.
Butler's best season was 36 catches for 385 yards and four touchdowns in 2010 before he was injured.
Martin suffered a calf injury during practice on Thursday. He had played in four games this season nad had four receptions for 42 yards.
