The Tampa Bay defense had no answer for Marshawn Lynch as he led the way to a late victory for the Seahawks over the Buccaneers, 27-24, at home.
Russell Wilson punished the Buccaneers for three scores (2 pass, 1 rush) on 19 of 26 passing for 217 yards and two picks. In comparison, Mike Glennon went 17 of 23 with 168 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions for the Buccaneers.
Lynch ran all over the Buccaneers for 125 yards on 21 attempts in addition to four receptions for 16 yards. Doug Baldwin was a leading receiver, catching six balls for 75 yards with a touchdown.
The Seattle defense struggled against the running game, but was able to slow down the pass, allowing 170 yards passing and 205 rushing. They got to Glennon for three sacks.
Buccaneers running back Mike James had a productive game with 158 yards rushing and one touchdown. Tight end Tim Wright also gave a strong effort with 58 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Next week, the Seahawks travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons (2-6) while the Buccaneers are at home against the Dolphins (4-4).
