The Seattle Seahawks will release veteran cornerback Antoine Winfield on Saturday, according to CBSSports.com.
The Seahawks may try to trade Winfield first, but apparently do not have room for him in their deep secondary. He signed a one-year deal with them in April.
Winfield, 36, is in his 15th NFL season. He was drafted in the first round of the 1999 draft by the Buffalo Bills. He has 27 interceptions, 11 fumble recoveries and 7.5 sacks in his career.
