Seahawks planning to cut Red Bryant

The Seattle Seahawks are planning to release defensive end Red Bryant, according to a report from FOX Sports.

Bryant is slated to carry an $8.5 million cap figure in 2014, which would be the primary reason why the Seahawks would have to cut him.

Early this offseason, it's become clear that bringing back Michael Bennett will be a priority. That means Bryant, who had 1.5 sacks last season, will likely be a cap casualty.
