Seahawks hire Jeff Ireland as a draft consultant

The Seattle Seahawks have hired former Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland as a draft consultant, according to FOX Sports.

Ireland was replaced by the Dolphins with Dennis Hickey following last season.

Ireland was the Dolphins' general manager from 2008 through last season.

Per the report, Ireland has a chance to obtain a full-time job with the Seahawks following the draft.

Ireland's addition comes as executive Scot McCloughan resigned from his job.
