Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett was taken off the field on a stretcher after injuring his lower back while hitting Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub on Sunday.
Bennett was moving his arms and legs before he was placed on the stretcher. The team said he was taken to a hospital, but has feeling in all of his extremities.
Bennett hit Schaub just as he threw a pass late in the second quarter. His head bent back awkwardly and he stayed on the ground face down for a few minutes.
He spent the previous four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
