HAMMOND, La. (AP) Roosevelt Johnson tallied a double-double, scoring 23 points and pulling down 19 rebounds, to lead Southeastern Louisiana over Tennessee-Martin 64-48 Saturday night.
Todd Nelson added 18 points and DeShawn Patterson chipped in 10 for the Lions (10-15), whose Bracket Busters win over the Skyhawks was their second in three games in the wake of a four-game losing streak.
The game was close throughout the first half, and the teams were tied at 22-all with 3:50 left before halftime. But Nelson sank two foul shots and Johnson dropped in a fastbreak layup to spark a 9-0 run the rest of the half for a nine-point Lions lead at the break.
They led the rest of the way, outscoring the Skyhawks 33-26 in the second half to seal it.
Mike Liabo had 13 points to pace UT-Martin (4-25), which had won its previous game to break up a season-high 15-game losing slide.
