Scarlett Johansson Has a Grandma Doppelgänger, and She Wants to Get Drunk With Her

When Scarlett Johansson discovered that she has a nearly identical grandma look-alike, she did what any long-lost twin would do: She invited said grandma to come get drunk with her.

The saga began when Reddit user denverjoel posted a photograph of his grandmother Geraldine from 1967, writing, "my grandma looked like Scarlett Johansson when she was younger." The Internet agreed (and pointed out that her companion looks like a dead ringer for Neville Longbottom, but that's a whole other story), turning this Oklahoma grandma into a viral sensation (more than 2.6 million people have since viewed the photo). Geraldine's reaction to all of the fuss? "Oh shit, that picture? I was drunk as a skunk," her grandson reported on Reddit.

It didn't take long for ScarJo to discover this connection. When she did, she sent her a personal video message—since posted to YouTube by the same grandson—wanting to meet her, get drunk with her, and take her to the actress's latest movie premiere in June (as one does when they find their doppelgänger).

"I have been absolutely inundated with e-mails and messages about how much we look alike, and I had to look at the photo myself. Holy crap. I want to meet you in person," Johansson says in the clip. "I saw that you were, quote, 'drunk as a skunk' when taking that photo, and I would like to see your drunk face. I want to share a drunk face with you. Let's have a drink, Geraldine."

The 32-year-old actress then extended a personal invitation for Geraldine to join her at the premiere of her upcoming comedy, Rough Night. "Do you want to come to see Rough Night with me?," Johansson asked. "Be my guest. We're a bunch of partying girls, so it's a good running theme, and I'll cover all your hidden costs. I'll see you at the bar. Be there or be square."

No word on whether Geraldine has accepted ScarJo's invite yet.
